Engineering & Technology Education

There are several programs falling under this cluster where content is heavy in technology. Students within these programs have learning outcomes aligned with the Standards for Technological Literacy: Content for the Study of Technology published by the International Technology Education Association. Through the engineering program students will be given a foundation of knowledge and technically oriented experiences in the study of the applications of engineering and its effect upon our lives and the choosing of an occupation. The content and activities will also include the study of entrepreneurship, safety, and leadership skills. This program focuses on transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the technological tools, machines, instruments, materials, processes and systems in business and industry.

Through the Power and Transportation technology programs the study of power systems and the kinds and sources of energy will be the emphasis. The content and activities will also include the study of entrepreneurship, safety, and leadership skills.
